EPO & ERP (Exit Permit Only / Exit Re-Entry Permit)

Exit Permit Only (EPO) and Exit Re-Entry Permit (ERP) are required for KITAS or KITAP holders who decide not to extend their stay in Indonesia and need to officially close their immigration documents.

If you are still in Indonesia, the EPO or ERP process must be completed before your KITAS or KITAP expires. Once the EPO is issued, you will have 7 days to leave Indonesia.

If you are already abroad, the process can be completed remotely without your physical presence in Indonesia.

What is EPO (Exit Permit Only)?

EPO is required for KITAS or KITAP holders who permanently leave Indonesia and do not plan to return using the same stay permit. Once issued, the permit cancels your current KITAS or KITAP.

What is ERP (Exit Re-Entry Permit)?

ERP applies when the permit closure process is completed after you have already left Indonesia. It requires proof of exit and is handled remotely.

Important notes

The application must be submitted before the expiration date of your KITAS or KITAP. Overstaying or missing the EPO deadline may result in penalties or immigration issues.
